Who We Are

Amy

Practice Administrator

Amy helps us maintain balance in the entire practice by overseeing all operations, procedures, employees, and finances. Many do not know, but Amy is actually Dr. Gulvin's sister and she runs the entire practice alongside Dr. Gulvin. In her spare time she can be found rescuing animals off of the side of the road and spending time with her to boys, Derek and Dylan.

Kim

Office Manager

Coming all the way from Moravia NY, Kim helps us maintain clinic flow, manages our inventory, maintains client and business relationships, and assists our Doctors when needed in the clinic. On her spare time Kim likes to ride horses, spend time with her daughter and husband, and snuggle with her dogs and cats.

Matt

Maintenance and Property Management

Matt helps us keep everything working properly and maintains the property, building, and vet trucks. He can also be found managing the Horses of Heart of Gold. On his spare time, Matt likes to Hunt, fish, and make derby cars to smash at local demo derbys!

Laura

Veterinary Assistant

Laura helps keep our patients happy, calm, and safe while they are in the clinic and on the road. She assists our veterinarians with procedures, performs nail trims, and makes sure appointments are as smooth and stress free as possible. On her spare time, Laura likes to hike with her two dogs, Copper and Brutus, Hunt, and spend time outdoors.

Kiera

Veterinary Assistant

Kiera works alongside our licensed technicians and veterinarians and helps comfort our patients during their procedures. She assists with appointments, helps get clients and patients settled into exam rooms, prepares the exam rooms for appointments, and so much more. Kiera has currently started veterinary technician school and we are hoping she becomes one of our next licensed veterinary technicians!

Jessica P.

Veterinary Assistant

Jessica came to our team with significant experience in veterinary medicine. She assists our veterinarians during procedures both in clinic and on the road, helps make sure the vet trucks are fully stocked, assists our manager with inventory counting and stocking, and makes sure our bloodwork gets on the UPS truck every day. On her spare time she can be found spending time with her family and children.

Marilyn "Grandma"

Clinic Auditor

We all call her "Grandma" as she is Dr Gulvin's grandmother. Grandma is the true reason this beautiful building was possible by helping us get land. During the day, Grandma helps with our account management and keeping our bills paid. In her spare time she likes to be with her dog, Bear, and go shopping at Kohls.

At the Grand Opening in August 2024, the clinic's ICU was dedicated to Marilyn by her granddaughters, Dr. Gulvin and Amy.

Missy

Client Service Representative

Missy is one of the compassionate, helpful voices on the other end of the phone and is generally assisting clients with scheduling appointments and getting messages to our doctors. She has extensive history as a human medical receptionist, and brings valuable input to our team. On her spare time she loves to spend time with her grandchildren and kitten, Baby.

Aime

Client Service Representative

Aime is one of the pleasant, kindhearted voices on the other end of the phone. She helps clients schedule appointments, relays messages to our doctors, and helps with confirming appointments.

Dave

Veterinary Assistant / Retired LVT

Dave comes to us with extensive experience in the veterinary industry. He was a NYS Veterinary Technician and recently retired from his duties with the state. Dave can be found helping out with our large animal educational events and assisting our doctors out on the road with large animal patients.

Elisha "Mom"

Practice Advisor

Elisha is Dr. Gulvin and Amy's mom. She helps oversee the overall practice setup, assists with relationships with attorney's and tax collectors, and is available for business consulting needs.

At the Grand Opening in August 2024, the beautiful Reception was dedicated to Mom.

Rick "Dad"

Practice Guardian Angel

Rick is Dr. Gulvin and Amy's Dad. Dad is the main reason we have our beautiful clinic. He hand designed and built the reception and waiting area. All of the moldings around the doors and windows were designed and built by dad. The yard was prepared and planted by Dad.

August 2024 the entire building was dedicated to Dad. Unfortunately, Dad passed unexpectedly in September 2024.

Maddie

Student Worker

Maddie is a student in High School and she works for us part-time by helping with phones and appointments where needed. Maddie likes to spend time training and showing horses when she is not in school.

Ella

Student Worker

Ella is a student in High School and she works for us part-time by helping with appointments and cleaning where needed. Ella likes to spend time riding horses and playing with her dogs when she is not in school. Ella wants to be a veterinarian when she gets older.

Bella

Student Worker

Bella is a high-school student that likes to read, a lot. She also likes to cook and watch TV. Her favorite TV show is Psych. She helps us keep the clinic clean and presentable for all your pets to come in.
