A Few Important Practice Policies
(Not all policies are included in this document)
-
PAYMENT Payment is due at the time of service. We do our absolute best to keep the cost of veterinary care as low as possible and we do understand that medical care is expensive, but we cannot take payments and do not offer low cost discounts.
-
WAIT TIME We understand that wait times are an inconvenience so we try hard to get to you and your pet in a timely manner. Please be courteous with our staff if we do run behind. When it is your turn, we promise to provide the same quality of care that we provide to all patients. This clinic has a ZERO tolerance for verbal abuse, blackmail threats, and poor treatment to any of our staff or other clients. You will be discharged immediately if our staff experiences any of this behavior.
-
PATIENT SAFETY Please keep your pet on a non-retractable leash or in a carrier, even in the exam room, until the doctor comes in for your exam. This ensures pets are safe as the doors are opening and closing for our doctor and assistants to come in and out.
-
AGGRESSION Please let us know if your pet is aggressive or does not like other people. Keep your pet on a non-retractable leash, let us take our time to warm up to your pet. Let us know what tends to be a trigger for your pet. We have staff that are skilled at working with aggressive dogs and will get your pet the proper care by knowing exactly what they do and do not like. Unfortunately, this may mean a few appointments need to happen so we can figure out how to best support your pets emotional needs while getting them the medical care they need.

VACCINATIONS a brief overview of our clinic requirements:
-
Rabies is required for every pet over 16 weeks old BY LAW, and we enforce this law in this facility. Any pet over the age of 16 weeks, that is deemed healthy by a veterinarian to get a vaccine, will be required to be rabies vaccinated or we reserve the right to refuse service. This is to not only keep our staff safe, it is to keep other pets that visit our facility safe.
-
Distemper/Parvo vaccine that has been administered and boostered properly by a veterinarian is required at this facility for all small animals that are considered healthy enough for vaccination by a veterinarian. By requiring this vaccination, we will help keep both sick and healthy pets safe from Parvo and Distemper.
-
Leptospirosis vaccination is highly recommended for dogs entering the practice and is required for any dog staying at our facility for a surgical procedure.
